La Fondazione \u00e8 nata nel 1839, a seguito di un lascito testamentario della vedova Sette, per accogliere bambine orfane di Borgo. Da allora ha sempre cercato di venire incontro a necessit\u00e0, mutevoli con il passare degli anni, della parte pi\u00f9 fragile della popolazione.<\/p>\n
Oltre all\u2019 orfanotrofio femminile, ha organizzato nel tempo una scuola di cucito, un asilo infantile, una scuola materna, un orfanotrofio maschile, un doposcuola. propria privacy ma anche fruire di proposte e spazi di socializzazione. Nel 1950 aderisce alla Federazione Provinciale Scuole Materne (FPSM). Dal 1977 ottiene il finanziamento dei costi di gestione e dal 2013 \u00e8 gestita da una Associazione legalmente riconosciuta, l\u2019Ente Gestore, che aderisce alla FPSM, della quale sono soci i genitori dei bambini iscritti. Attualmente nello stabile e nel retrostante ampio parco di sua propriet\u00e0, posto nel centro del paese e donato nel 1955 dalla famiglia Romani, accoglie tre attivit\u00e0 che gestisce direttamente:<\/p>\n\n
